Pate’s International Enhanced

We know that the resources work and schools may believe that this support is all they need to add value to student learning. However, our experience so far has shown that student outcomes can be maximised when the core resources are supplemented with the additional support we can offer.

Each school is different and we are happy to work with individual schools to determine the package that will best meet your needs. There is no fixed cost for this, we are happy to discuss your context and requirements and will tailor an offer accordingly;

The additional input could include;

  • Pate’s Class Co-ordinator support
    • A very experienced Pate’s teacher can offer online support and act as a link between teachers at the Host school and in the UK. They will also visit the school to oversee training and to offer guidance to teachers and students. They can also teach lessons!
  • A Subject Mentor
    • An academic mentor for each subject can be provided. Examples of how they can help include;
      • Online-support and guidance through our portal
      • Training for teachers – in the UK or at the Host school
      • Cross-moderation of assessments
  • Student Assessments
    • Experienced British teachers can set and moderate assessments that will allow international schools to benchmark their students’ outcomes against the highest attaining pupils in the UK.
  • University Applications
    • Students are provided with individual guidance and led through the application process using the same highly successful packages available to Pate’s Grammar School students.
  • Oxbridge Preparation
    • Students will be taken through the application process and are invited to the UK to attend a pre-interview Oxbridge preparation week with experienced teachers.
  • Senior Leadership Monitoring visits
    • A monitoring visit Senior Leaders from Pate’s Grammar School. This could include school self-evaluation, benchmarking teaching and learning, data analysis and curriculum support. The nature and remit of the visit can be agreed with the Host school.
  • Student Visit to the UK
    • Students can visit the UK for up to four weeks. The focus can be agreed with the Host school but would normally include extended time in lessons, visiting Universities and gaining an understanding of British culture. This is especially useful for those students keen to apply for UK universities.
  • Teacher Training
    • We have successfully organised subject specific and whole-school training for teachers. This could be held at the Host school or in the UK.
